The Spirulina,Frozen Mango, Visalus Powder, Highland Lactose Free Whole Milk,Doterra Peppermint Oil Shake......

Disclosure: I received the spirulina as part of an advertorial

This has to be one of the most funky shakes I have ever put together. Put aside from a little too much peppermint, it was not bad. I will be interested to see where else I can stick this Spirulina in my cooking later on in the week. When you initially open the spirulina it stinks, but if you can get past the smell it is great.

It does turn your tongue green, but with the peppermint in it, I won't have dragon breath for bed tonight, and maybe the peppermint will settle my tummy.

But by the last picture, you can tell, it came out Green As Can Be! My husband equated it to a military green, and I can't say the other. I have to agre to the military green though. Even dry, it still holds up in spades.

Spirulina is something you should try at least once in your life, and if you have not had  the chance to try the Doterra Essential Oils, you can contact Jonee Wolfbrandt, through her website to get hooked up for the oils. You can find her site at: www.mydoterra.com/joneewolfbrandt.

L.Ron Hubbard's The Magic Quirt, Western Audio Book Review.....

Disclosure: I received this as part of an advertorial

I just got through listening to The Magic Quirt by L. Ron Hubbard. It was another journey through the Old West.

As with the other westerns I have reviewed on this blog, as the book is read, you begin to picture each scene as they go through, like going to the cinema, with a big tub of popcorn.

If you are one with a vivid imagination, then the reel to reel film that is your brain, will send you a technicolor masterpiece if you dream in color, or if you are a black and white dreamer, then you will enjoy this in classic black and white.

I am really surprised I have not seen any of the westerns I have reviewed as movies, they would make some great ones. I may not be a hard core western fan, but I do enjoy a good, well thought out adventure, every now and then.

Living in Oklahoma I am a part of a state that is loaded not only with native american heritage, but also cowboy culture, and I have to say, it is a continual learning experience everyday.

I can say that each of the westerns I have reviewed, including this one do always have a lesson that is embedded, that applies for today.

As they say" Everything that is Old is New Again". If you have not had the chance to pick up a Hubbard Western from Galaxy Press, get on over to www.GalaxyPress.com

The Everything Binder CD Review

Disclosure: I received this as part of an advertorial

I over this weekend to start viewing and using The Everything Binder CD. This does include everything you could possibly need, to get your affairs organized.

I was really impressed at how well laid out this CD of pdf content was. It begins with a pre and post death info, goes on through to spouse, kids, pets, business, etc....

It does not matter if you are 21 or 71, anytime is a great time to get your affairs in order.

This does force you to rack your brain for information, which for some is good. You also get to pick your spouses brain (if you have one), and your family's brain for information.

Overall I think for someone in the beginning of their career or marriage, this will be a tool that they will find very useful in their lives.

So, if you have the chance pop over to amazon, and look for The Everything Binder CD and pick up your copy today, or pick up one to give a gift this holiday season.

Dragon-Ten Tales of Fiery Beasts, edited by Rayne Hall- Book Review

This picture came from the screen of my laptop once I completed the book.

Disclosure: I received this as part of an advertorial

I just got through reading this most intriguing book. It seems to fit in my household rather well, since both my husband and I are both dragons according to the Chinese Zodiac, that you see on the place-mats in Chinese restaurants. So it made the book a little special in our household.

Each story in this anthology style book, is unique unto itself. You go from a pink dragon, to a multi fall colored dragon, to a sparkling blue dragon, and so on.

This is another book, that would be great for older teenagers and adults on a fall evening, with a mug of cider, listening to some soft music or the wind blowing.

If you have a vivid imagination, that has a permanent reservation at the imagination cinema and continually runs, with each story you will get a mini movie going with each page you read in this book.

The one thing I missed with this book, is having some artists renderings of the dragons, which would had been pretty cool to go with each story, so you could see each of the dragons mentioned in the stories.

The AirBac backpack Review......

Well I know the plastic parts can not survive a dachshund puppy. Metal pieces might be a better solution.

Disclosure: I received this as part of an advertorial

If a back pack was able to give an orgasm, this would be the one to do it for any adult. When it comes to children using this backpack, parents would get hugged and kissed royally.

I mean this is the most heavenly feeling backpack for your back, of all the backpack's I have gone through in all my years. (And I just turned 38 on the 8th of this month.)

As you can see by the top picture, from just having it set out in my home, the plastic piece at the end of one of the straps did not make it, one day. (That was not intentional by the way).

I have been using this as my gym bag, since I did not have one. Boy does it hold A LOT! In this bag, I can manage to fit, my jacket, my tablet, a couple small notebooks, and a couple small necessity bags, towel, and my wallet. I was really impressed with how much I could get in this bag.

AirBac, you are on the money with this bag. My back has not felt this great in years, and that is saying alot. If you just change the tabs to metal, that would be great, and doggie approved/indestructible.

To boot I still have some room to wiggle if needed. Thank You Air Bac, you have made my back extremely happy.

I am glad this backpack has so many great features also.

Some of the features include(according to the info I received with the pack): promoting better posture and spinal alignment, built in shock absorbers, air-cushioned protection, and adjustable fit.

Besides the mentioned features, they also recommend asking about team colors, team logo embroidering, personalized embroidering, and they can also help you with your fundraising efforts to boot.

For more information you can go to: www.airbac.com

So for your next backpack, for any use, stop on by airbac's site, and pick you up a backpack. You will not regret your purchase. You will say, "Why didn't I do this sooner."

Cogwheels-Ten Tales of Steampunk, edited by Rayne Hall- ebook review:

I shot this from my laptop screen this evening once I finished the book.
Disclosure: I received this as part of an advertorial

This book is a mini cinema in your head. With each of the stories, you are treated to an adventure.

When reading this I would recommend this, I would recommend reading this in chunks over several days. I read this in one day, and by the end of the day was pooped out. ( but I have 5 dogs keeping me busy too.)

As you read each story, they transported you to a different time, and different place in history.

For me this was my first time in reading the genre of steampunk. From what I have read, I am looking forward to seeing what is next, from each of the author's that were featured in this anthology of stories.

If you have the chance pop on over to amazon, and pick this up. This book would make a great fall/ Halloween read for this October.

Doterra Day 2, First attempt at a cake with the lemon oil...

Let me say this up front. The pictures may not be attractive, but the taste was not bad. I will be reworking the recipe and posting the results of that one later on down the road. So stay tuned.

Here are the pictures from the First attempt at the Lemon Blueberry Cream Cheese Cake:

Like I said , the pictures may not be attractive, but the flavor was there. As mentioned above, stay tuned for the re-worked recipe( I won't post the recipe for this attempt, if the second attempt works you will get to see the actual recipe for it in the blog entry.), I pray it comes out better. This one reminded me of Grover from Sesame Street. It was purple, as you could get folks.

Here is the update to the post:

This recipe actually worked, and came out tasty:

Lemon Blueberry Cream Cheese Pound Cake:

15 drops of Doterra Lemon Essential Oil
1-8oz pkg cream cheese, nuked in 2-45 second increments and stir until smooth
1 pkg frozen blueberries- unsweetened
1 Betty Crocker Pound Cake Mix
2 eggs
1 stick Lactose Free Blue Bonnet
2/3 water or milk(I used Hiland Lactose Free 2% from Reasors.)

Equipment:

Mixing bowl
Spatula
Cookie Sheet
Silicone bundt pan
Cake/pie server
Pam or generic equal
Serving Plate
Knife
Cooling Rack

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. While your oven is preheating, in your mixing bowl combine the cream cheese, blueberries, cake mix, eggs, lactose free blue bonnet, and water or milk, until completely incorporated, and set aside.

Spray your bundt pan liberally and place on the cookie sheet.

Put your batter in the bundt pan, and put in oven for 55 minutes. Do the toothpick test, and if the toothpick comes out clean, turn out onto a cooling rack to cool completely.

Serve with your favorite frozen treat or fall beverage.

Once again, I want to thank Jonee Wolfbrandt for contributing to my blog. I have really enjoyed these oils. I hope you will take the time to stop by her page at: www.mydoterra.com/joneewolfbrandt . If she ask how you heard of Doterra, let her know you heard it from Nannette.
